ABC Foundation announces the opening of the Call for Applications under the Grant Program on:
"Improving the quality of life, social activation and well-being of older people"
Albania is experiencing the effects of population aging, as a result of increased life expectancy, declining fertility and emigration of young people. In this context, the need for sustainable and comprehensive support for older people increases, in order to guarantee a dignified life and active participation in society.
In response to these challenges, the ABC Foundation will implement during 2026 a grant program dedicated to the elderly, aimed at improving living conditions, social activation, and improving their health and well-being.
Care for the elderly is an indicator of the functioning of the democratic system, it is a social, public and family obligation. It is an essential condition for the creation of an “ageless society” and active at every level. In order to facilitate the status of this social category, in addition to the programs of the public system, civil society also has a special role.
ABC Foundation through this program grant supports civil society initiatives, which will aim to:

- improving the lives of this category;

- promoting social activity and their integration into the community;

- developing educational, recreational and cultural programs that promote physical, mental activation and creativity.
This program welcomes project proposals that will have a concrete impact on the target groups, namely the elderly in disadvantaged conditions. The program can be implemented in cooperation with non-governmental organizations and associations at local and national levels, social, community and educational institutions with projects dedicated to the elderly, cooperation between local institutions and organizations for innovative initiatives.
The maximum fund available for this call is 700,000 ALL, with an implementation period of 3–4 months.
