ABC Foundation announces the opening of the Call for Applications under the Grant Program on:
"Supporting female entrepreneurship oriented towards Social Business, with the aim of improving their socio-economic status"
Social entrepreneurship in Albania is gradually developing as a form of business that aims to address social issues. In this context, promoting female entrepreneurship with a social focus can directly contribute to improving the status of women and increasing their role in economic and social life.
The program aims to:

- Economic empowerment of women through social entrepreneurship;

- Supporting initiatives that address social and community issues;

- Increasing awareness and participation of women in entrepreneurial activities;

- Creating sustainable social business models.
The areas of activity of social businesses can be: handicrafts, agricultural products, tourism, environment, services, etc., and can be developed in different areas for groups of women in need.
The program can cooperate and coordinate with public, local and civil society structures, representatives of interest groups on the socio-economic issues of Albanian women. Such are the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Ministry of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate, local or national women's organizations, etc. In any case, the main role as beneficiaries should be women/girls.
The maximum fund available for this call is 800,000 ALL, with an implementation period of 3–4 months.
