Atelier, Kukes
The National Association for Integration, Development and Assistance to the Needy "SH.KIZH", with the support of the ABC Foundation, organized a 3-day training as part of the second phase of the "ART TOURISM" project, a project financed with grant funds from the ABC Foundation.
The project aims to promote the figure of the artisan woman and create opportunities for professional, social and economic development of women in the Kukës region, by supporting the establishment of businesses and social enterprises.
Through this project, women's artisanal work is given due attention within the framework of social business. The training helps women artisans develop their skills and orient themselves towards selling artisanal products in the tourist market, empowering them to build sustainable social and economic enterprises.
Training purpose
Strengthening the image of the artisan woman and creating opportunities for professional, social and economic development, in order to promote social entrepreneurship in the Kukës region.
Main objectives
• Professional development of 15 women artisans for the drafting of a business plan/social-economic entrepreneurship;
• Equipping with skills for marketing and promoting artisanal products;
• Promoting the integration of artisanal products into cultural and artisanal tourism.
✨ Results achieved
• 15 artisan women trained in the design and implementation of a business plan;
• 15 women artisans trained in digital marketing techniques and the creation of collaborative networks.
This activity represents an important step towards women's empowerment and the development of artisanal tourism in Kukës, contributing to the economic and social sustainability of the local community.
Contribution of the “ART TOURISM” project”
The project aims to:
• Develop the professional skills of women in the Kukes region;
• Convert craft potential into economic value;
• Promote financial independence and the increased role of women in the family and society;
• Preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the area.
