On October 15, the Institute of Education, Heritage and Tourism (IETT) conducted practical training on local guiding and communication with visitors, as part of the project to empower the Zadrima community in providing tourism services and interpreting cultural heritage.
The training aimed to improve participants' skills in communicating with visitors, presenting the values of the destination, and getting to know the local tourism offer.
The activity included discussions at the Administrative Unit on communication with visitors, a visit to the archaeological site of Basania, where excavations are being conducted by Albanian-Polish archaeologists, as well as familiarization with the services and tourist offer of the Gardenland resort.
The visits aimed to highlight the potential of the area and the ways in which cultural heritage and local services can be combined to develop an authentic and sustainable tourism offer.
The project "Empowering the Zadrima Community in the Provision of Tourism Services and Interpretation of Cultural Heritage" is funded by the Albanian Besa Capital Foundation and implemented by IETT Albania.
