Attention towards ageing and older adults is an indicative of the functioning system of democracy; it is a social, public and family obligation. Besides public programs, the Civil Society, as well, has played a crucial role to provide assistance to the specific needs of this social group.

ABC Foundation, through this grant program, supports initiatives of the Civil Society which aim is to ameliorate the status of this social category. The project’s purpose should identify social groups, their important needs and facilitate their fulfillment, according to resources and effectiveness of the intervention. The project should be implemented in collaboration with skilled local active entities. Cooperation with local government bodies possesses an added value to ensure coordination in the interventions, as well as a tangible social impact.
