Funded with grant funds from the Albanian Besa Capital Foundation (ABC)
The Albanian Besa Capital Foundation (ABC) has supported with grant funds the organization of the event "Skrapari në gotë", an initiative of the Skrapar Municipality that aims to promote the agricultural, artisanal and cultural products of the area, promoting local economic development and rural tourism.
This activity, which took place in the city of Çorovodë, brought together local producers and artisans – women, youth, and entrepreneurs from rural areas – who had the opportunity to exhibit and sell their traditional products, promote crafts passed down from generation to generation, and create new business collaborations.
Project goal and objectives
The main goal of this project is to promote agricultural products and the tourist offer of Skrapar, in order to increase employment and economic development of the area.
Specific objectives include:
• Increasing the visibility of the area and its agrotourism offer;
• Creating new and more sustainable markets for local producers;
• Promoting small and family entrepreneurship in the fields of agriculture, handicrafts and tourism;
• Raising awareness about the preservation of cultural and natural heritage;
• Strengthening cooperation between institutions, producers and the local community.
The importance of support from the ABC Foundation
The financial support of the ABC Foundation has been essential for the realization of this activity. Through this funding, logistical and organizational resources for the development of the fair were provided, such as exhibition spaces, promotional materials, etc.
Through this funding, the ABC Foundation affirms the importance of cooperation with local government as a means of promoting local development with sustainable social and economic impact.
Through such support, the ABC Foundation contributes to the preservation of local traditions, the promotion of women's and youth entrepreneurship, as well as the development of rural areas with high agrotourism potential.
