Application Process
The application process at the ABC Foundation is conducted through an open call, where applicants submit project proposals according to the announced priorities.
Projects are reviewed by an Independent Selection Committee on the basis of compliance with the program objectives, implementation capacity and realistic budget. After the evaluation is completed, applicants are notified of the result according to the deadlines specified in the call.
APPLICATION FIELDS ANNOUNCED – MARCH 2025
To draft the proposal, the applicant will use the Model Application Form, which can be obtained from the ABC information office or via the Foundation's website. (click for the application form).
The Grant Application must include all necessary information about the project and the applicant, so that the Selection Committee can undertake a thorough review to assist in making a decision on whether or not to support the applicant's proposal.
The applicant's proposal, according to the application form, must include:
- Description of the proposed project
- The current situation regarding the proposed issue and the applicant's motivation
- Description of the specific goal and objectives, the way to achieve them
- Description of the plan of specific activities, the calendar of their implementation
- Description of expected results and how they will be measured
- Project implementation area
- Beneficiaries, partners and coordination
- Project monitoring and evaluation
- The requested budget, other potential donors to the project
- Previous projects or initiatives implemented; CV/Profile of the organization/entity, experience with other donors
- The governance of the organization/entity, management structures
The application must be accompanied by several documents.
LIST OF ACCOMPANYING DOCUMENTS:
- Application Form completed (sent by e-mail, in the format word);
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the main people involved in the intended project;
- Board of directors/assessors/advisory committees: Full list of board members;
- Photocopy of the organization's registration document (Founding Act), Statute of the organization and Court decision for NGO registration;
- Photocopy of legal acts of the organization/entity:
For companies and non-profit organizations
– Historical extract (Business), issued by the National Business Center, as close as possible to the date of submission of documentation (for commercial companies);
– Certificate from the register of non-profit organizations at the Tirana Judicial District Court (no later than 2 months);
– Registration certificate with the data of NIPT/NUIS issued by the Tax Authorities/National Business Center;
– Identification Document (ID) of the company administrator;
– EXCERPT for the data recorded in Beneficial Owners Registry;
– Court certificate for the subject and the administrator;
– Certificate from the prosecutor's office for the subject and the administrator;
– Penalty Evidence issued by the General Directorate of Prisons for the subject and the administrator;
– Certification of enforcement obligations for the subject and the administrator;
– Status certificate for non-profit organizations issued by the General Directorate of Taxes;
– Certificate of payment of duties issued by the General Directorate of Taxes.
- Confirmation of bank account of the organization;
- Confirmation for project co-financing by the co-donor (if any);
- Annual budget of the organization, Financial Statements latest, if available also Financial Statements certified by the auditing company;
- Minimum two letters of reference for the entity/organization and the submitted project (can be obtained from previous NGO partners and donors, but not from members of the staff or selection committees of the ABC Foundation and the applicant organization, no older than two calendar years);
- Supporting documentation: Any other information such as LEAFLET informative or reports which help program staff obtain more information about the applicant.
