The Albanian Besa Capital Foundation strictly implements Law No. 124/2024 "On the Protection of Personal Data", taking all necessary organizational and technical measures to protect the personal data of its grantees and collaborators against unlawful destruction, accidents, losses, unauthorized use, as well as any type of unlawful processing that may be carried out on personal data.
A – Security measures
The Albanian Besa Capital Foundation takes the following security measures to protect the personal data it processes:
- Allows the use of personal data in accordance with the functional duties of the staff;
- Instructs staff on their obligations under applicable legislation;
- Entry into premises where data is processed by unauthorized persons is prohibited;
- Access to data and programs is only done by authorized persons;
- The use of archiving tools by unauthorized persons is prohibited.
In no case will the data documented at the Albanian Besa Capital Foundation be used for purposes other than those for which they were collected. Documentation containing personal data is retained for as long as required by applicable legislation and the Foundation's internal regulations.

E – What is meant by lawful processing?
- Breach of trust or obligation to maintain information;
- Exceeding legal powers;
- Breach of a contractual agreement;
- Violation of legislation or regulations;
- Violation of the European Convention on Human Rights.
F – What data does the Foundation process?
The Albanian Besa Capital Foundation processes the personal data of grantees and applicants, which include: name, surname, address, telephone number, email address, as well as any other information necessary for the application and cooperation process.
G – Data processing and dissemination
- The data is processed fairly and lawfully;
- They are used only for the purposes for which they were collected;
- Each application form is accompanied by information on how the data will be used.
H – Data storage
- Data is only stored for as long as necessary;
- Retention periods are in accordance with the law;
- In special cases, they may be retained for judicial investigations or legal proceedings.
